I joined the Canadian Association of New York shortly after I moved to New York City a decade ago, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made. Over the years, I've made many great friends and I meet interesting people each time I attend an event. CANY is very active in fundraising for NYC charities and I'm proud to be volunteer!

As a Torontonian who landed in NYC almost five years ago knowing only a handful of people, I found this group to be seriously amazing for helping me make my way and have a great time in the city. I appreciated the connection to home and the events were always a blast. I've moved out of New York to take a job in San Francisco... if I end up moving back, I will absolutely rejoin.

I've lived in New York for many years and I don't know why it took me until earlier this year to join CANY! I've jumped right in helping out with CANY projects and I've been meeting a lot of great people. I'm really enjoying being connected to my national "alma mater" and it's great to find a group that's active with charity work in New York City.
