Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research

About the Run

Founded and proudly organized by CANY, the annual Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research held in Central Park supports cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. The proceeds from the event total more than $3 million dollars since it was launched in 1994. The Terry Fox Run honors this Canadian hero who at age 18, having lost a leg to cancer, launched a run across Canada to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
