Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research

About the Run

Founded and proudly organized by CANY, the annual Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research held in Central Park supports cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. The proceeds from the event total more than $3 million dollars since it was launched in 1994. The Terry Fox Run honors this Canadian hero who at age 18, having lost a leg to cancer, started to run across Canada to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research

Terry_Fox_RunThe Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research (New York) will be held virtually (and, if permitted, also physically) on Saturday, October 10, 2020. While we are hoping to hold the run in Central Park if health, safety and social distancing guidelines allow, we are also planning for virtual participation in this year’s run, like the 2020 Terry Fox Foundation for runs in Canada.

Join us for this 5K family fun run/walk -- there is no entry fee but registration is required at

Please join us to raise money for cancer research. Donations can be made online at the Terry Fox Run Website.
